As a leading making and tinkering resource in NWA, the Scott Family Amazeum is providing opportunities for maker educators and makers to connect, learn, and build a strong community of making in NWA.

Join the Amazeum and the local maker community on the second Tuesday of each month for monthly Maker Meet Ups. These informal meetings will help us share stories, insights, and encouragements as we continue to shape the maker movement in NWA. Anyone interested in stepping into a group of passionate, fun, and creative makers is welcome to attend. Complimentary admission. No registration required. Food and drink purchases not included.

Upcoming Maker Meetups

April 13, 2021 6:30-7:30pm Virtual Meetup

Featured Maker: Cookies by Jenny- Jenny Gammill
Jenny, the Elementary STEM Specialist at the Northwest Co-op, will share how STEAM and Making are an integral part of her hobby, tips and tools for baking tasty cookies, and how she decorates sugar cookies without using royal frosting. If you would like to join in on decorating cookies of your own, you will need a few flat topped cookies (this is a great recipe for homemade or go the easy route with Pillsbury Sugar Ready to Bake) and one recipe of confectioner's icing (8 oz powdered sugar, 2 1/2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon extract of your choice, and food coloring/gel). Regardless, it will be a fun evening and someone will win a dozen hand decorated sugar cookies!
