Cub Scouts

Adventure workshops and ZINGO engage Scouts in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) related activities designed specifically for Cub Scouts. Check out the FAQ Sheet for additional information. The Amazeum also offers workshops and events for Girl Scouts.

Adventure Workshops 

Cub Scout Adventure Workshops are back and in person! Get ready to earn STEAM-focused Adventures the Amazeum way!

Pack Leaders: to register your pack for this Adventure workshop, contact the Amazeum reservation specialist at 479-696-9280 option 5 or reservations@amazeum.org. Advanced registration and payment required.  

Fee per Scout: $20 

Chaperones: 1 Pack Leader and 1 Co-Leader are free (Wolf, Bear, Webelos/Arrow of Light) 
                       1 adult Leader per Lion and Tiger Scout are free

Choose Your Cub Scout Adventure Workshop

Den and Pack leaders can now schedule private Adventure workshops for their entire pack! Each of the Adventure workshops listed below can be reserved for a date determined in collaboration between the Den/Pack Leader and the Amazeum. These private Cub Scout Adventure workshops cost $200 for up to 10 scouts with 2 leaders. The two hour long workshop will explore the required activities to earn the Adventure. After you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the loop from your council store! 

To make a reservation call 479-696-9280 option 5 or email our Reservation Specialist at reservations@amazeum.org. Date, time and location of the Adventure workshop will be determined in collaboration between the Amazeum and the Den/Pack Leader.  Your reservation is not complete until an Amazeum representative emails you a confirmation letter. Reservations must be made at least two weeks prior to date. Registration is now open!

On Your Mark
On your mark...get set, go! Endless tracks and obstacle courses await  as Tigers discover the world of physical science. Momentum, force, and friction are just some of the concepts Tigers will explore as they learn about what makes all things go. After you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the On Your Mark loop from your council store!

Gizmos and Gadgets
Are you ready to embark on an invention journey in our Tinkering Workshop? As creative engineers, you will explore how things work and why sometimes they don't. Gear up to take things apart, reuse the pieces, and create your own invention as you learn the basic skills and processes needed to be a successful maker, inventor, and tinkerer. Once you've completed the workshop the only things left is to buy the Gizmos and Gadgets loop from your council store.

Tiger

Good Knights 
Honor! Service! Courage! As an Amazeum Knight, you'll need these traits  to overcome challenging obstacles and build a castle worth defending.   Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Good Knights loop from your council store!

Curiosity, Intrigue, Magical Mysteries
Join us for a fun-filled magic workshop! Explore the science behind this mysterious world of wonder and discover new tricks to fool your fellow scouts (and even your pack leader!). Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Curiosity, Intrigue, Magical Mysteries loop from your council store.

Wolf

Motor Away 
Ready, set, go! Discover ways to fly, sail and propel as we “launch” into creating things that move! After you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the Motor Away loop from your council store.

Digging into the Past
Adventure! Exploration! Investigation! Join us as we uncover the dirt on Arkansas. Who knows what you will encounter along the way. Volcanoes...earthquakes...dinosaurs...oh my! Are you up for the challenge? After you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the Digging into the Past loop from your council store. 

Bear

Forensics 
Ever wondered if you have what it takes to be a real forensic detective? Come work towards earning  your Forensic loop by learning the tools of the trade and solving a thrilling mystery! After you've completed the workshop and visited a sheriff's office or police station, the only thing left is to buy the Forensic loop from your council store.

Super Science
Have you ever wondered about Superman's ability to fly? Or maybe how anyone but a superhero could make things move without touching them? We have some ideas! Go up, up, and away with us using STEAM! Once you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the Super Science loop from your council store.

Webelos/Arrow of Light

Movie Maker
The Amazeum is looking for the next big names in the movie biz! Bring your Scouting adventures to the big screen and your fans will be on the edge of their seats! Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Movie Maker pin from your council store.

Amazeum STEAM Zingo for Cub Scouts 

You've heard of bingo, but ZINGO has an Amazeum twist! Just like regular bingo, you need to complete five challenges in a row, column, or diagonal. But this is where it gets Amazeum-ified! We've come up with fun, community-based challenges for you to complete with your pack virtually, in the community, and at the Amazeum. Each square on your Zingo card is an activity, game or adventure. Enjoy this unique, self-paced Zingo experience as an individual or full pack.

Self-Guided Program 

Tiger Cub Scouts can now explore the Amazeum using the Self-Guided Program to earn the Stories in Shapes Loop. Download the Self-Guided Program for tips on how to prepare for your visit. Groups of 20+ should reserve a group visit at least 2 weeks in advance.
