Cub Scouts

Adventure workshops and STEAM Night engage Scouts in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) related activities designed specifically for Cub Scouts. The Amazeum also offers workshops and events for Girl Scouts. Check out the FAQ Sheet for additional information.

Adventure Workshops

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are providing multiple options for Cub Scout workshops for Fall 2020: virtual and in-person at the Amazeum.  In November, we will make a decision about the format for workshops in Spring 2021.

Virtual:  Scouts will engage in a variety of unique, hands-on STEAM challenges and experiences from their homes. Materials for activities will be provided in kits. Kits can be picked up a week in advance from the Scout Shop. During the workshop, an Amazeum educator will lead the scouts through activities via Zoom video call.

In-Person: Workshops will happen after hours at the Amazeum on a Monday evening from 6-8 pm. Workshops will have a reduced capacity of 10 scouts and up to 4 leaders per workshop. Educators, scouts and leaders will be required to wear face coverings during the workshop. Scouts will be given a kit which will include all supplies needed to complete their discoveries – no sharing required! After the program, Amazeum educators will clean and sanitize the kits.

Pack Leaders: to register your pack for this Adventure workshop, contact the Amazeum reservation specialist at 479-268-4542 or reservations@amazeum.org. Advanced registration and payment required. Registration is now open.

Fee per Scout: $15

Chaperones: 1 Pack Leader and 1 Co-Leader are free (Wolf, Bear, Webelos/Arrow of Light)
1 adult Leader per Lion and Tiger Scout are free
