The Scott Family Amazeum believes children are naturally curious and have a built-in drive to ask questions. Our Early Learner programs create a play environment that allows for young children (and their caregiver) to engage their natural curiosity, build on skills they already have, and take on new challenges.
Partners in Play is designed especially for children ages 6 and younger to explore, play and discover with their adult caregiver. This drop-in program that embraces children's natural curiosity and develops an interest in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). Be curious and investigate together as play partners! Monthly themes build your child's sense of wonder and playfulness as you engage together in curiosity and hands-on discovery.
Partners in Play is included in daily admission and Amazeum membership. No additional fee or registration necessary to participate.
Partners in Play is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-12pm in Studio Grow.
May's Theme | My Emotions: Emotions, meltdowns, and tantrums are hard to process for the adult, and child. We'll explore and build language around emotions through storytelling, and imaginary play. |
June's Theme | Messy Mixtures: Be prepared to shout "WHOA!" this month as we explore what’s fizzing, bubbling and popping. We will make sure the STEAM activities this month are exploding with fun. |
July's Theme | Water and Ice: Dive in with us to discover water in all its forms! Use different tools and fine motor skills to explore the possibilities! |
Little Tinkerers family workshops in the 3M Tinkering Hub invite adults and children to be innovative thinkers and problem-solvers as they work together creating, building, and trying new things. Creativity flows as you and your early learner explore tools and tinker with materials. A new theme is explored the 2nd Saturday each month.
