Amazeum Summer Camps specialize in curiosity! Our unique week-long summer camps are the perfect place to unleash your child's curiosity to explore and make new discoveries. Summer camps offer hands-on, STEAM-focused fun that will encourage your camper to be a creative explorer. Summer 2019 features new camp themes as well as a twist on your favorite themes. A-MAZE-D
Left or right? Back or forward? This camp will test your camper’s problem-solving skills! We’ll explore the mental mazes of illusion and build physical mazes, finishing our week by creating a life-sized maze that we can travel through! Prepare your camper for twists and turns, dead-ends, and finish lines. We know this camp is going to be A-MAZE-ing.

In Our Nature
Partnership camp with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
Enjoy the unique opportunity to travel between two museums for a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience hosted by the Scott Family Amazeum and Crystal Bridges. We’ll get inspired by Crystal Bridges’ temporary exhibition, Nature’s Nation and Amazeum’s Forever Forest exhibition. Campers will explore the Northwest Arkansas ecosystem through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities to investigate the science of nature up close.

Boxopolis 2.0
Partnership camp with Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design
In a world where grown-ups make all the decisions, there's one place where kids rule - Boxopolis! Boxopolis 2.0 will push campers to think outside the box (pun intended). This year, we’ve partnered with Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design to push Boxopolis to the next level! From observing architecture up close, to learning and playing with some brand new Amazeum tools and tech, we’ve got everything your camper needs (and everything they don’t know they need) to create a cardboard utopia.

Blast back to the past with us as we explore the mysteries of history! How were the pyramids so perfectly shaped without heavy machinery? How did they move the giant stones of Stonehenge so far without semi trucks? Join us as your camper becomes an investigator, using hands-on STEAM activities to uncover the answers to these questions and more!

3D Animaker
How do animators make their characters so life-like? This summer, The Scott Family Amazeum and NERDIES™ are teaming up to teach your little ones all about the animation tools and technologies that bring ideas to the screen. Led by David Kersey, the Executive Director of PIXEL™ and former digital artist for Disney, this camp provides a unique introduction to animation; one that incorporates hands-on STEAM activities with industry-standard animation software.

Girls STEAM
We’ve designed a week of tech fun that goes beyond the computer. From learning to code robots and taking apart tech, to creating digital art and exploring app design, we’ll uncover the endless opportunities of STEAM. But that’s not all! We’ll also hear from special guests each day, successful girls and women in our community who conquer STEAM jobs, organizations, and clubs. Join us for a week of uniquely girl-centric tech experience!

Any kid can make a Youtube channel, but how do they get followers? How do kids learn to create entertaining content? How do kids DO YouTube? During this camp we’ll find out together! From talking with media specialists to creating short videos for the Amazeum, we’ll explore what it takes to get viewers to push that big red “SUBSCRIBE” button.

Invention 101
Have you ever thought about how useful your buttons are? What about toilet paper? They didn’t always exist-they were invented! Equipped with the right tools and resources, humanity creates amazing solutions to make life easier. But where to begin?  Invention 101 will tackle this challenge! We will provide your camper with a problem and supply you with the materials, a tool shop, and a team of Amazeum inventors to help kids envision and create their own solutions. All we need your camper to bring their creativity and problem-solving brain!

The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum for children and families located in Bentonville, Ark. A museum with a foundation in the arts and sciences, the Amazeum encourages creativity, curiosity and community through exhibits, educational collaboration, and programs, workshops and camps. Amazeum experiences include a climbable tree canopy, indoor cave, tinkering hub, nearly one acre of outdoor space, and ever-evolving daily pop-up activities.
