Celebrating Our Silver Win for the Annual Report!

October 1, 2024

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news with our Amazeum community! The Scott Family Amazeum has been awarded the Silver Winner in the Annual Report category by the 2024 Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) Publications Competition!

This award recognizes the creativity, design, and impact of our Annual Report, a publication that tells the story of our past year’s successes, challenges, and the incredible support from our community. To be recognized among so many wonderful institutions in the Southeastern United States is truly an honor.

Acknowledgement and Celebration

The competition this year was fierce, with many entries from across the region, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to participate and receive such recognition. A big thank you goes out to our dedicated team and everyone who contributed to making this Annual Report a piece worth celebrating.

A special shoutout goes to Christine Pendry, our Creative Manager, for her amazing work in designing and creating the Annual Report. Christine’s dedication and creativity truly made it shine!

Winners will be acknowledged at the SEMC 2024 Annual Awards Luncheon, held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on October 23rd. Although we wish we could celebrate with everyone in person, we’re excited to see our publication displayed and recognized alongside other incredible works from museums throughout the Southeast.

What This Award Means to Us

Winning this Silver Award means so much more than a certificate—it’s a testament to the impact we’re making together. Our Annual Report is a reflection of our values, our dedication to the community, and our commitment to inspiring creativity and discovery.

We will also be featured in the upcoming SEMC newsletter and on their website, which means our story will be shared with an even wider audience, shining a light on our efforts and achievements.

A Special Thank You to You

We want to take a moment to thank you—our members, visitors, supporters, and partners. Without your belief in our mission, the work we highlight in our Annual Report would not be possible. Every visit, every smile, every moment of curiosity sparked at the Amazeum helps build the story we are so proud to tell.

Be sure to check out our winning Annual Report if you haven’t already, and join us in celebrating this amazing recognition. We look forward to continuing our journey together and can’t wait to see what we accomplish next year!
