Amazeum reaches 1,000,000 guest milestone

May 2, 2019

Thank you Northwest Arkansas for being one of a million reasons for us to celebrate reaching a significant milestone in April. Since opening on July 15, 2015, the Scott Family Amazeum welcomed over a million guests from every state in the United States and many foreign countries.

Each guest to the Amazeum added to one of a million stories, connections, and moments that continue to make the Amazeum a place where curiosity, creativity, and community are celebrated through every day amazing experiences. The Amazeum team is grateful to be part of a community that recognizes the power and potential hands-on, interactive learning have on creating future innovators.

“It’s wonderful to think about the impact the Amazeum has on the community,” says Sam Dean, Executive Director. “But, even more wonderful and exciting is the impact the community has on the museum. We could not have reached this milestone so soon without the support of families, members, donors, and business partners. From the moment plans for the Amazeum were announced, there’s been energy in the community to support Amazeum-style, learning-by-doing experiences.”

In nearly four years since opening, the Amazeum welcomed guests from every state in the United States and many foreign countries as a destination for families traveling to Northwest Arkansas. Of the 1,000,000 total guest visits, nearly 125,000 students and parent chaperones in public, private, charter, and homeschools attended Unfield trips, and Amazeum member visits account for over 375,000.
