Pedal Kids USA and the Scott Family Amazeum have teamed up for a one-of-a-kind adventure that merges STEAM learning and outdoor exploration in the most exciting way possible—through biking and tinkering!
In Tinkering on the Trails, young makers will build their confidence using tools and on two wheels, connecting the thrill of motion with the creativity of making. Each session combines time on bikes with immersive hands-on tinkering experiences designed by Amazeum educators and Pedal Kids coaches. From learning how gears work to crafting trail-ready creations, kids will discover the science behind how things move, balance, and build—then test it all out on the trails!
This is not your average bike class or museum workshop—it’s a fusion of movement, making, and imagination, created to help kids see the world through curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Dates: January 27-March 5
Duration: Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6 weeks
Time: 4pm-5:30pm
Ages: 5–12 years old
Ability Levels Offered:
Pedal Champs (confident greenway riders)
MTB Kids (trail-ready mountain bikers)
Each week, participants will:
Ride: Build skills on two wheels with certified Pedal Kids Coaches in small groups tailored to ability.
Build: Tinker with Amazeum educators using real tools and materials to explore concepts like balance, motion, and mechanics.
Explore: Connect creativity and movement through guided adventures on the trail and in the Amazeum.
Through a balance of physical challenge and creative problem-solving, kids will strengthen their bike handling, spatial reasoning, and teamwork while learning to think like engineers and ride like champs.
