Playtime with baby creates brighter futures and stronger bonds. Infants 6 to 17 months old and their favorite adult will play together in activities that encourage physical growth, social-emotional development, and emerging language skills. A new topic is explored each month at 10-11am.

Studio activities are designed with children aged 2 to 6 in mind, but mixed-age family groups with children 6 and under are welcome to come in and play and stay together. STEAM Studio frequently changes location and may be dependent on weather conditions, please ask guest services for location upon entering the Amazeum. No registration is required. Tinkerfest, a one-day festival that celebrates the creative, curious, and innovative spirit in all of us, returns to Northwest Arkansas on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9 am until 4 pm

Each year, the Amazeum brings together makers, artists, tinkerers, craftspeople, educators, and creatives to showcase their work while inviting families to join in the DIY (do it yourself) fun and learn from each other. Whether a beginner or an avid tinkerer, Tinkerfest is a great family event where all can experiment, get their hands dirty, and learn things together. Ages 4-104 will find a tinkering experience to explore.

The 5th Annual celebration of the process of making stuff is included with paid admission or membership.

You've got questions. We've got answers. Well, actually you all have answers, just may not be asking the best questions about making and tinkering. Join us at the Holler in 8th Street Market in Bentonville on Tuesday, October 9 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and find out about making, tinkering, and other interactive educational activities for classrooms from maker educators and the Amazeum team at Maker Educator Meet Up. Whether a seasoned maker educator or a fresh recruit, you'll learn something and meet some really awesome people making education great for students across Northwest Arkansas.  Complimentary admission. Sensory Friendly Days! Come join the Amazeum for Sensory Friendly Day on October 12, 2018! Everyone is welcome to attend a day of celebration and fun as we focus on guests with special needs. Small-scale groups of special education students will be able to reserve Unfield Trips and families with or without members with special needs are invited to join in the fun! The Amazeum team will have sensory friendly activities, facilitate play across all abilities, and provide an opportunity for guests to connect to one another in an understanding environment. You’ll learn foundations of the scientific method while you make predictions on how high and how fast your rocket will fly. Mix and mingle with fellow educators and receive AR Department of Education credit at our Educator Night Out events!  Educator Night Out features opportunities for educators to explore the Amazeum, connect with colleagues, and discover incredible ways to use the Amazeum in your classroom. Local educators will partner with the Amazeum team to lead sessions on how connecting the Amazeum with your classroom lights a passion for STEAM in students. An evening at the Amazeum wouldn’t be complete without time to be a big kid, so come ready to play in the exhibit hall. 

School teachers, administrative staff, and homeschool educators are all welcome to attend this free event. You don’t want to miss this incredible night out filled with practical ideas, giveaways, and delicious food and drink! Based upon popular demand, we are hosting two Educator Night Out events. New sessions will be explored during each Educator Night Out so plan to attend both events!

New program for homeschool students: Mini Camps! Homeschool Mini Camps foster new curiosities and discoveries about the world around us as we use science as a tool for exploring that world. In these child drop-off camps, campers explore the concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) through creative, hands-on explorations. Only homeschool students are able to join these camps, so it is another great way to meet with homeschool students in the area.

Have you ever wondered how a robot works? This is the workshop for you! Juniors will discover how to communicate with robots through programming and coding. Get hands-on with Sphero, Dash and mBot by designing programs to make the robots do simple tasks.  Once you've completed the workshop, the only thing left is to buy the Programming Robots badge from your council store!

The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum for children and families located in Bentonville, Ark. A museum with a foundation in the arts and sciences, the Amazeum encourages creativity, curiosity and community through exhibits, educational collaboration, and programs, workshops and camps. Amazeum experiences include a climbable tree canopy, indoor cave, tinkering hub, nearly one acre of outdoor space, and ever-evolving daily pop-up activities.
