Future Doctors in the Making: Anatomy Adventures Camp Returns to the Amazeum — Bigger and Better in 2025!

It’s not every day your kid asks if they can dissect an eyeball — and it’s even rarer to see them excited about it.

But that’s exactly what happened last summer at the Scott Family Amazeum’s Amazing Anatomy Camp, where curious campers got hands-on with the building blocks of the human body in a safe, engaging, and wildly fun environment. Thanks to a dynamic partnership with the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, this unique camp is back for its second year — and in 2025, we’re making it even bigger.

After selling out in record time last summer, the 2025 Anatomy Camp will offer 40 additional spaces, giving more young minds the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of human anatomy. If you’ve got a child who dreams of becoming a doctor, nurse, or just wants to know how all the cool stuff inside our bodies works — this camp is where the science happens.

A Partnership That’s Making an Impact

The Scott Family Amazeum is once again teaming up with the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, combining our commitment to hands-on learning with their expertise in health sciences. Together, we're creating experiences that don’t just teach — they inspire. Campers will get a taste of real medical science through fun dissections, lab-style activities, and mentorship from professionals who are passionate about medicine and education.

Meet Nate Lasley: A Future Doctor in the Making

We still talk about Nate Lasley — a bright-eyed camper from last year’s Anatomy Camp. When it came time to dissect cow eyeballs (yes, actual eyeballs!), some kids hesitated. Not Nate. He stepped right up, steady hands and all.

“I want to be a doctor like my dad,” he said confidently, “and you can’t be afraid of a little blood.”

Not only did Nate handle the dissection like a pro, he also helped guide other campers who were feeling a little squeamish. It was a glimpse into the kind of leader he’s growing up to be — compassionate, curious, and unafraid of a challenge.

We created Anatomy Camp for kids like Nate. For the future healthcare heroes, scientists, researchers, and innovators. And for the parents who want to give their children a head start in discovering what excites them most.
