Arvest Foundation Helps Spark Big Possibilities with $25,000 Donation to the Amazeum

The Arvest Foundation has donated $25,000 to the Amazeum’s Exp&ing Futures capital campaign, a major project that will bring new spaces for early learners, families, educators, and playful explorers of all ages. This donation is in addition to their initial contribution early on in the project. Their gift fuels a vision years in the making, to create more room for hands-on learning, imaginative play, and the kind of discoveries that make childhood magical.
What Exp&ing Futures Will Bring to Northwest Arkansas
Right now construction is underway on three exciting new areas designed to help children learn through exploration and play, the way they learn best.
Early Learning Advancement Center
A brand new indoor and outdoor environment designed specifically for children ages 0 to 6 and the adults who support them. Think open ended spaces, creative studios, and interactive environments where tiny scientists can test, build, splash, and wonder.
The Hangout and The Porch
A welcoming new hub for schools, camps, clubs, and community groups. With meeting rooms, a café, flexible gathering spaces, and an outdoor plaza perfect for performances and hands on activities, this area will make visits easier, more comfortable, and full of opportunities to connect.
The Backyard
An expanded outdoor playscape inspired by the science of nature. Children will have more opportunities to dig, climb, experiment with water and erosion, explore loose parts, and discover the joy of learning in the open air.
All of these spaces are designed with one idea in mind, creating meaningful moments between children and the adults who care about them. Research shows young children learn best when they are free to explore with a responsive adult nearby. We are building places that make those moments happen naturally and joyfully.
A Community Partner Helping the Amazeum Grow
The Arvest Foundation has supported education and opportunity across Northwest Arkansas for many years, and their latest gift continues that legacy. Their contribution helps ensure more children and families can access spaces that spark curiosity, ignite creativity, and nurture lifelong learning.
“We are deeply grateful for the Arvest Foundation’s continued investment in creating environments where children and families can learn, play, and explore together,” shared Jennifer Martinez Belt, Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Amazeum. “Support like this moves the Exp&ing Futures vision forward and helps us build spaces designed especially for early learners, caregivers, and educators.”
Chad Evans, Benton County Arvest President, echoed this commitment, noting that the Foundation is honored to help expand opportunities that inspire young learners and strengthen community connections across our region.
Why This Matters
Each year, more than 250,000 guests walk through the Amazeum’s doors, bringing with them curiosity, wonder, and a desire to learn. The Exp&ing Futures project will allow us to welcome even more families, grow our early childhood initiatives, and introduce new experiences that champion learning through play.

A Heartfelt Thank You
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Arvest Foundation for their generous gift and their belief in what learning through play can do for children and families across Northwest Arkansas. Their support plays a vital role in shaping new environments for curiosity, creativity, and connection. With partners like Arvest Foundation, we are excited to continue building a future where every child has the opportunity to explore, discover, and imagine in meaningful ways.
