Sensory Friendly Features
The Scott Family Amazeum is an inclusive environment designed so all guests to the facility access experiences in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). All areas of the museum are accessible by persons using assistive technologies. The resources on this page are designed to support our guests with diverse abilities when they interact with our exhibits.
Before a visit, guests are encouraged to download the sensory-friendly map and social story to familiarize themselves with the museum and areas of sensory input that may affect their experience in the museum. The Amazeum thanks students from Bentonville Schools Ignite Program's Education Innovation Strand for creating this resource.
The Amazeum exhibit floor is wheelchair accessible. A lift is located near Cloud Theater and an elevator to the 2nd floor. The Canopy Climber and Treehouse are challenging for people with mobility issues.
A visual schedule is available to download and help support pre-planning and structuring a visit to the Amazeum. The visual schedule is a collection of photos of the Amazeum exhibits and spaces.
