Adventure Workshops || Self-Guided Program

Cub Scouts now have an amazing opportunity to expand their horizons and learn new skills in an interactive environment. Workshops engage Scouts in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) related activities designed specifically for Cub Scouts. The Amazeum also offers workshops and events for Girl Scouts. Check out the FAQ Sheet for additional information.

Bear Workshop: Super Science

Have you ever wondered about Superman’s ability to fly? Or maybe how anyone but a superhero could make things move without touching them? We have some ideas! Go up, up, and away with us using STEAM! Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Super Science loop from your council store!

Tiger Workshop: Good Knights

Honor! Service! Courage! As an Amazeum Knight, you'll need these traits to overcome challenging obstacles and build a castle worth defending. Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Good Knights loop from your council store!

Are you ready to embark on an invention journey?  As creative engineers, you will explore how things work and why sometimes they don't. Gear up to take things apart, reuse the pieces, and create your own invention as you earn the basic skills and processes needed to be a successful maker, inventor, and tinkerer.  Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Gizmos and Gadgets loop from your council store!

NEW! Bear: Make It Move

February 1, 2020

Scout Level: Webelos/Arrow of Light

Levers, pulleys and inclined planes, oh my! Learn how to make objects move up, down and all around. Using your imagination and inventor Rube Goldberg as inspiration, you will design and build an elaborate machine to complete a very simple task. Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Make It Move loop from your council store!

Wolf Workshop: Germs Alive!

This workshop is just plain gross...and you don't want to miss it! Come join the fun and show the germs who's boss! After you've completed the workshop and completed your Do-at-Home mold culture project, the only thing left is to buy the Germs Alive loop from your council store!

Join us for a fun-filled magic workshop! Explore the science behind this mysterious world of wonder and discover new tricks to fool your fellow Scouts (and even your pack leader!).  Once you've completed the workshop the only thing left is to buy the Curiosity, Intrigue, Magical Mysteries loop from your council store!

Self-Guided Program 

Tiger Cub Scouts can now explore the Amazeum using the Self-Guided Program to earn the Stories in Shapes Loop. Download the Self-Guided Program for tips on how to prepare for your visit. Groups of 20+ should reserve a group visit at least 2 weeks in advance.

The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum for children and families located in Bentonville, Ark. A museum with a foundation in the arts and sciences, the Amazeum encourages creativity, curiosity and community through exhibits, educational collaboration, and programs, workshops and camps. Amazeum experiences include a climbable tree canopy, indoor cave, tinkering hub, nearly one acre of outdoor space, and ever-evolving daily pop-up activities.
