We're the home of creativity and learning for Northwest Arkansas. The Amazeum hosts community groups each month to share their specific knowledge or skill. These events are included in paid admission or free for members. Community partners join us at the Amazeum for one-of-a-kind STEAM activities throughout the year.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Date: Thursday, February 20
Introduce A Girl To Engineering Day is all about encouraging girls to consider a route into engineering, and inspiring a generation who might grow up to be the great innovators and problem-solvers of the next generation. Part of Engineering Week, this community spotlight is presented by Springdale Robotics Center, an all-girls group of engineers. Join us on Thursday, February 20 from 10am-12pm. We'll explore snap on circuit kits, have robots to drive and test like b-bots, ozobots, spherobots, and even a lego build table.
Date: Saturday, February 22
Induction junction, what's your function? Prepare for a shockingly good time at this community spotlight as part of Engineering Week. Not to worry, you won't get shocked, because we're bringing in the experts from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering on Saturday, February 22 from 10am-12pm. Make homopolar motors, connect with circuit blocks, and observe the Wonders of Wattage demonstration led by University of Arkansas electrical engineering students.
Date: Saturday, March 7
In the latest addition to our Community Spotlights this year you'll flex those math muscles of yours by designing your own tessellation with paper, pencil, and tape. Get creative as you build a 3D printed tessellation using computer software, discover 4-color theorem, and put tessellation puzzles together. Join us and the folks from Fulbright Junior High on Saturday, March 7 from 2-4pm.
Seize the Clay

Sometimes you've got to get your hands a little dirty, and with the help of some real archaeologists, you can! Join us, on Wednesday, March 18 from 4-6pm, to celebrate Arkansas Archaeological Month for a Community Spotlight with the University of Arkansas Archaeology department. We'll design pottery on a coloring sheet, explore real dig kits and tools, and even try making coil pots with clay.
