Amazeum UnGala FUNdraiser Supports Diversity, Inclusion and Family Programs

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (March 7, 2018) — The Scott Family Amazeum’s 2nd Annual UnGala FUNdraiser, presented by The Hershey Company, brings unique entertainment and experiences to Northwest Arkansas Saturday, April 21 from 7 – 10 pm. Funds raised at this event go to supporting access to the Amazeum’s learning experiences for families in the region through Amazeum for All passes and diversity and inclusion programs like Priceless Nights and HallowZing for diversely-abled children.

The Scott Family Amazeum’s UnGala FUNdraiser – Northwest Arkansas’s largest pre-summer block party - is the perfect opportunity to give your inner child a night out. Forget the tuxedo, sequins, bow ties, and those horribly uncomfortable shoes. This isn’t that kind of party.

This year’s Amazeum UnGala features unique activities and experiences that can’t be found anywhere else. Life Size Mousetrap, a performance troupe from the San Francisco Bay Area, makes their Arkansas debut at the UnGala. This show features the quirky contraptions from the board game scaled to human size complete with life-size mice. It’s physics fun for everyone.

The UnGala also has a unique corporate challenge. Influenced by the Amazeum’s current Hot Wheels™: Race to Win™ exhibit, there is a road race. The Amazeum Exhibits Team is preparing identical 24-volt vehicles ready for corporate sponsors to customize with graphics. Sponsoring teams provide driver and pit crew and the race is on. Pole position is determined by amount of onsite donations to each team. Sponsored vehicles race for the prestigious Zing Cup and bragging rights. Be there for the first Night of Amazeum Strange Car Awesome Racing.

Other experiences including Mario Cart Amazeum-style, backyard obstacle course, potentially the world’s largest blanket fort, and other lawn games to add to the block party vibe. Food and beverage is included in the ticket price and feature selections from the region’s top food trucks and craft brewers, plus unique cocktails designed for the event.

The Scott Family Amazeum welcomes guests 21-and-up to join our neighborhood shindig on Saturday, April 21. Tickets cost $100 and are available online at amazeum.org/events/ungala.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for this unique event unlike any other gala in Northwest Arkansas. Businesses wanting to sponsor a vehicle in the 24 volt race, or become a general sponsor of the event should contact Shannon Dixon or Danica Stout.
