Scott Family Amazeum Welcomes 200,000th Guest Since Opening
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (February 23, 2016) Leaders projected the Scott Family Amazeum would realize 180,000 guests in its first full year of operations. As of last week, more than 202,500 have had an Amazeum experience in the first seven months.
To see more than 200,000 guests little more than halfway through the year is an overwhelming success, said Bob Arvin, president of the Amazeum board of directors. The impact we are able to have is similar to that of museums in cities three times our size. Our donors, staff and volunteers have created an experience that fosters creativity and learning and we all look forward to an exciting future with this community.
The museum opened to the public on July 15, 2015. Special previews for Charter members began July 5, 2015. The Amazeum team continued to develop and enhance experiences for preview guests right up until that first event.
Amazeum is gearing up to celebrate Spring Break. Festivities throughout that week will celebrate the Stay-cation theme and are expected to attract guests from throughout the region. Guests can check the calendar at amazeum.org and the Amazeum Facebook page for events.
