Grown-Up Events

Kiddos aren't the only ones who get to play and learn at the Scott Family Amazeum! We offer experiences for the whole family, including those of us who are young at heart.

Visit & Be Inspired

Adults (18 years and older) are welcome to visit the Amazeum on their own. When you check in at the admissions desk, we'll give you an amazing badge that lets you explore our facility. This is a great place for teachers to get classroom inspiration, for creative minds to ideate and for busy adults to reconnect with childhood playfulness.

NEW! Object Play: Enriching Early Learner Environments

April 19, 2017
Adult only program for early childhood teachers/providers of children ages 9-60 months

Object-rich environments provide meaningful, open-ended learning that is an effective way to help children develop their imagination, creativity, and to deepen critical thinking and problem solving skills. This workshop is designed to guide teachers’ understanding and practice of providing natural and recycled materials in the classroom and how to support children’s process of investigation and active exploration. Through this workshop, early childhood teachers and providers will

  • Discovery the Importance and benefits of object play in children’s learning and development
  • Identify strategies for supporting children’s object play
  • Make connections between themes and objects

Amazeum on the Rocks

These adult-only evenings (21 years and older) let the grown-ups play in the museum. The themed evenings feature facilitated activities as well as opportunities to explore the museum on your own. And yes, you can ascend the canopy climber. Amazeum on the Rocks makes a great date night or fun group event.

We'll host three Amazeum on the Rocks events in 2017, so check this page frequently for updates. Tickets go on sale a few weeks in advance and usually sell out before the event. Our Contributing Members receive advance notice of amazing events like Amazeum on the Rocks. If you'd like to learn more about a Discover or Explore Membership to receive advanced notice and to help sustain the Scott Family Amazeum, please contact Amy Stockton at 479-696-9280 ext. 202.

We love interacting with your children and creating wonderful experiences for them, but Amazeum on the Rocks is for adults ages 21 and up.
