Molly Rawn Named Director of Development
Molly Rawn has been named Director Development for the Amazeum, the new children's museum and family learning center being built in Bentonville. In this role, she will be responsible for securing leadership gifts to complete the museum?'s comprehensive campaign.
Before joining the Amazeum, Ms. Rawn held positions as Director of Major Gifts and Membership at KUAF Public Radio and Assistant Director of Development at Fulbright College, both at the University of Arkansas. Prior to that, she was the Director of Development at the Northwest Arkansas Women's Shelter.
"I am thrilled to join the Amazeum team. It is an exciting project and I cannot wait to see families come through our doors and create wonderful, memorable experiences," said Rawn.
"We are delighted to have Molly join the Amazeum as we look ahead to 2014 and the next phase of our project," said Sam Dean, the Amazeum's Executive Director. "Molly's fundraising experience will help us make our vision of a fun, interactive learning facility for Northwest Arkansas families a reality."
Rawn is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has been an active volunteer with Trike Theatre for Youth, League of Women Voters of Washington County and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and lives in Fayetteville with her family
About the Amazeum
The Amazeum will feature 44,500 square feet of exhibit, meeting and learning spaces inside the museum. It will also bring learning to life and enhance family involvement, while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on activities. Interactive exhibits will engage visitors with the land, industries and people that built the Arkansas culture and sustain it today. Exhibitions include the Tinkering Studio, water area, climbable tree canopy and an exploratory wet lab.
In addition, approximately one acre of outdoor space will accommodate year-round learning and provide a backdrop for experiments and experiences inspired by the seasons. The facility will also include a venue for businesses and organizations to host gatherings, productions and special events.
